- Siemens, Equatex and hkp/// group receive Star Award of the Global Equity Organization GEO in Orlando
- Commitment to employee equity-based participation in Germany rewarded
Frankfurt am Main, May 23, 2018. As a management consultancy at the interface of HR, finance and strategy, hkp/// group has been committed to strengthening equity-based employee participation in Germany for many years. At this year's annual meeting of the Global Equity Organization GEO in Orlando/USA in late April, this commitment was once again rewarded. Together with Siemens as initiator and the sponsor Equatex, the hkp/// group was awarded a Star Award for the design, organization and implementation of the Equity Day (https://www.globalequity.org/geo/geoawards).
The Equity Day has developed as a conference for all groups interested about employee participation. It was held for the second time in Berlin in November 2017. Distinguished speakers from politics, associations, business and science, including Siemens CFO Ralf P. Thomas, DGB Chairman Reiner Hoffmann and TUI CHRO Dr. Elke Eller, shared their expertise and experience with around 150 participants from organizations and companies of all sizes and industries (https://www.tagderteilhabe.de/).
"Employee participation is an excellent way of filling foreseeable asset gaps for employees in addition to statutory and company pension schemes," explains hkp/// group Senior Partner Dr. Jan Dörrwächter. "Therefore, the Equity Day is an important way to emphasize the arguments for employee participation and to keep this highly current issue in public discourse from the point of view of employees and employers," said the compensation expert, who received the GEO Star Award together with hkp/// group Senior Manager David Voggeser in Orlando.
"We regard the GEO Star Award as a confirmation of our overall commitment to equity-based employee participation," stresses David Voggeser and refers to the Berlin appeal. Prior to the Equity Day, hkp/// group, the German Employee Participation Association AGP, Deutsches Aktieninstitut DAI and Siemens launched the “Berlin Appeal” for more employee wealth formation (see http://mitarbeiterbeteiligung.de). Renowned experts from business, academia and associations signed the petition calling on the new federal government to take action and to take on the issue of employee participation as a measure to boost employee wealth formation in the coalition agreement.
The Global Equity Insights study (https://www.equity-insights.org/) which was carried out for the sixth time in 2017, is further proof of hkp/// group's ongoing commitment to employee participation. The study on global corporate practice in equity-based compensation and employee participation was initiated by hkp/// group and the Global Equity Organization GEO. The current sponsors include Equatex, Fidelity, SAP, Siemens, University of Goettingen and the Fellowship Program of Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations. The current results of the analysis were also presented at the GEO Annual Conference in Orlando and attracted great interest here, as in previous years.
