International HR and compensation expert with experience in the raw materials and energy sector strengthens corporate consulting firm’s executive compensation area
Frankfurt am Main, January 13, 2020. Beginning January 1, 2020, John Pfeiffer joins the hkp/// group as its new Senior Manager. In his new role, the U.S.-born compensation expert will target his consulting efforts on international companies – particularly in the areas of professional and executive compensation, grading and equity-based employee participation.
John Pfeiffer boasts over 20 years’ experience in industry and consulting. His focus centers on global HR and compensation management in the raw materials and energy sector, especially for companies based in the United States or Germany. Most recently, he served as Associate Client Partner at Korn Ferry.

After earning a master’s degree in International Relations and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, John Pfeiffer (born in 1970) began his career in 1994 at AIRINC, a global service provider for talent and global workforce management, rising to the position of Managing Director Europe. In July 2007, he moved into HR and compensation management at the international raw materials company Wood Group Mustang, for which he worked on several continents. With his 2014 move to the E.ON Group as Head of Processes and Products, Center of Competence Reward, he remained within the raw materials and energy sector. After the split of the energy company, he joined UNIPER as Head of Reward, with company-wide responsibility for compensation. In 2017, he switched to consulting as an Associate Client Partner at Korn Ferry.
